I wasn’t expecting to find myself in tears on the subway.
At the time I was suffering from some health issues that I was struggling to get a handle on. I knew that I needed to change my diet in order to feel better but it was fucking hard.
Although I didn’t have endometriosis, I identified with Jessica’s story. I wanted to change but I still wanted to be me.
Listening to her share the hard parts of change and not just the happily-ever-after story we usually see online, was so inspiring. And I didn’t just listen to that interview once – whenever I was feeling stuck I went back and listened to it again and again.
